How to choose a Commercial Christmas Tree

How to choose a Commercial Christmas Tree

For cost reasons, more and more shopping centers, resorts, casinos and other commercial properties are choosing to invest in artificial Christmas trees instead of real trees. This makes a lot of sense, cost-wise. A recent study published by the American Christmas Tree Association (ACTA) shows that over a ten year period the cost of replacing a live Christmas tree every year is three times as expensive as purchasing a single artificial Christmas tree (which can last up to 10 years or more). Plus, with artificial trees, there are no messy needles, sticky sap or spilled water to mess with. So it's no wonder that budget-conscious property managers are seeking to save money and hassle by using artificial trees in their holiday displays.

But how do you choose the right artificial tree? What are the options? Obviously, two of the main considerations are the height and size of the space you are decorating. The bigger the space, the more room you have to work with. And, all the more important that your tree deliver a spectacular presentation!

Here are a few other things to think about when choosing an artificial tree:

Indoors or Outdoors?

If your artificial Christmas tree is to be used indoors, size will be an important consideration. Commercial Christmas Supply (CCS) offers a wonderful variety of indoor trees ranging from 12 to 30 feet tall. If you have a large interior space to work with or placing your tree outdoors, a gigantic tower tree may be just what you are looking for. Available in heights up to 60 feet tall, CCS's tower trees create a spectacular presentation indoors and out.

Unlit or a Pre-Lit Christmas Tree?

Sure, you can choose an unlit artificial Christmas tree, but we ask, why would you? A pre-lit Christmas tree combines the beauty of a realistic looking evergreen with the convenience of having a tree that is pre-wired and strung with lights. The lights on a pre-lit tree are usually embedded within the trees branches and cannot be removed. Most pre-lit trees are available in a choice of traditional mini bulb lights or energy efficient LED lights. CCS offers a wide selection of pre-lit Christmas trees that are ideal for indoor or outdoor use, with sizes ranging from 12 to 30 feet tall.

Decorated or Undecorated Christmas Trees?

Commercial customers enjoy the convenience of having a tree that is pre-decorated (presumably to have time to focus on the rest of their holiday to-do lists!). Decoration elements usually range from shatterproof bulbs and ornaments -- a must for a public or commercial display -- to fiberglass or metal holly leaves and berries, to illuminated tree toppers. CCS offers a number of Decorated Tree Packages that are designed to fit most any holiday decor scheme.

Which stye of tree should you choose?

Artificial Christmas trees have come a long way over the years, and today's trees look more realistic than ever. There are a number of styles to choose from, so the choice is pretty much a matter of personal taste. Through Commercial Christmas Supply, you can select from a nice assortment of artificial pine trees, fir trees, or even Snow-capped or flocked trees. While checking out their website, be sure to take a look at their unique selection Poinsettia, and illuminated Acacia and Crystal Branch trees.
